What to Expect in 2024 from Facilitate Better
You will receive a refreshed and updated post in your inbox every Facilitation Friday.
From 2020-2023, I published more than 100,000 words in almost 100 posts about the effective design and facilitation of meetings and workshops … resource reviews, “how to” essays, case studies, facilitation practices and principles, and more.
As previously noted, publication of new content has ceased for the most part. I also recently decided to reset the Facilitate Better site, so all previously published content has been removed.
I’m now at the rewrite table, reviewing all of the previously published content. I will update and enhance select posts to reflect readers’ reactions and additional lessons learned, as well as refine examples and streamline the text.
To what end? In 2024, every Friday will be Facilitation Friday as I release a refreshed post from the core content previously published. As in the past, these posts will be archived on the Facilitate Better Substack site.
At the start of the year, all of the Resource Reviews previously published will also be restored to the site.
Finally, I will release a few limited edition Resource Kits in 2024, each containing a well-received meeting or workshop format or activity I’ve honed over many years of use. These Train-the-Trainer kits will include everything you need to incorporate the activity or format into your own efforts, including:
detailed facilitation outlines and suggested dialogue
suggested PowerPoint slides (modifiable) slides
sample modifiable handouts or learning worksheets in PowerPoint or Word
Only a limited number of each kit will be available for purchase/licensing. Subscribers will receive both (1) a discount on the purchase price, and (2) a special purchasing window only for you.
While all of the Facilitation Friday content will remain free, I will do a one-time “pledge drive” early in the new year. If you wish to support the revised content releases you’ll have the opportunity to make a contribution of your choice.
